The golfer who's tired of chunks, thins, and shots that leak right.
Every miss-hit you fight — the digging chunk, the low screamer, the weak armsy drive, the push that starts right and stays right — comes from the same root cause. Your weight isn't shifting correctly, so your low point ends up behind the ball instead of in front of it.
The fix is a move every great ball-striker shares: bump-turn, bump-turn. The Ball First Board's spring-loaded pedal physically forces proper weight shift to start the downswing. The trail rod stops you from swaying. The lead rod trains the displacement of bump #2 — automatically. Set it down, hit a real ball, and your body learns the move rep by rep.
Ball First Board Overview
Key Features
Spring-Loaded Trail Foot Pedal
Calibrated resistance forces your weight to your lead side before impact. Either you did it or you didn't — the pedal tells you instantly.
Trail Alignment Rod
Controls bump #1. Trains a 1–2 inch lateral shift to your trail side without letting you oversway.
Lead Alignment Rod
Trains bump #2 — the 4–6 inch displacement back to your lead side that starts before your backswing finishes.
Hits Real Balls
Unlike boards that shift or slide, you can hit full shots on the BFB — indoors off a mat or outdoors at the range.

FAQs
The BFB works on a simple principle: most amateur golfers shift their weight too late — or not at all — causing the club to reach its low point before the ball. The board uses three physical constraints to fix this:
1. The Spring-Loaded Pedal
When you step on the trail-side pedal at address, it compresses. To release it, you have to shift your weight back to your lead side early in the downswing — exactly when the pros do it. If you don't, the pedal stays compressed and tells you immediately.
2. The Trail Rod
Trains bump #1 — a small 1–2 inch lateral shift to your trail side as you start your backswing — and prevents you from over-swaying past it.
3. The Lead Rod
Trains bump #2 — the 4–6 inch shift back toward the target that starts a fraction of a second before the backswing finishes. This is what gets your low point in front of the ball.
Yes — that's the whole point. Unlike boards that slide or tip when you make a real swing, the Ball First Board is designed to stay put so you can hit full shots. Use it indoors off a mat or take it straight to the range.
Absolutely. Set it on a mat in your garage, basement, or living room and make full swings into a net. The immediate pedal feedback makes indoor sessions especially productive — you get clear, instant data on every rep without needing to watch ball flight.
Most golfers feel a difference within the first session. Your body learns surprisingly quickly once it has a physical constraint to work against — rather than just a mental swing thought to remember.
Honestly, if you already:
- Consistently take divots in front of the ball
- Compress your irons and hit a consistent ball flight
- Rarely chunk or thin your irons
…you're probably in good shape already. The BFB is primarily for golfers who fight chunks, thins, weak fades, or pushes — issues that almost always trace back to poor low-point control.
Yes. The Ball First Board works for both right- and left-handed golfers.
